2024 TEERA Membership Renewals

AERA is very pleased to announce that Membership Renewals for the 2024 endurance year will be available online from 1 January 2024. This functionality is the next step in the development of the AERA Online hub and helps endurance in Australia to embrace the digital world. AERA Online will assist riders and trainers to submit their membership applications in a more streamlined way and without the need to download forms, write them out and then send them off to Registrars. Automatic lodgement and payment via the secure Westpac Bank payment gateway will also assist our hardworking Registrars and ease their burden.

To renew your membership head to AERA Online, log in your account (or create an account if you don’t already have one) and select the My Details option. This screen will display a new Membership option under the Members Details section.

Simply select the Renew button (for returning members) or the New button if you haven’t taken out a membership previously. Then follow the steps through the process. If you need any assistance head to the Help menu and download the Renewing your Membership sheet for step by step instructions. Remember the Contact Us option under the Help menu if you have any questions – we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

An alternative off-line option will be available to TEERA members shortly. Watch this space.

2024 SMC – nominations now open, AGM motions, topics for discussion

Please find a link below to a nomination form for the 2024 TEERA State Management Committee. Please consider nominating so that our sport may continue to function well in 2024 and beyond. Nominations close on 15 January, 2024. Any of the current SMC will be able to provide advice about what being on the SMC involves.

The terms of five current SMC members has ended so there are five positions available. Retiring SMC are Andrew Miles, Jess Goulding, Grace Huxtable, Trent Huxtable and Kirstie Lockhart. They are, of course, able to renominate for 2024.

On the same form is a Notice of Motion for Discussion at the TEERA Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held at 7.00PM on 1 March 2024, at the Wattlewood Park ride. All TEERA members are able to propose formal motions for consideration at the AGM.

Also on the form is a ‘Suggested topic(s) for discussion at the AGM’ section. Here, members can suggest topics for discussion that do not require a formal motion.

Online Membership Renewals

AERA is introducing a new Online Membership Renewal module to AERA Online for the 2024 membership year. From 1 January 2024 members will be able to renew their memberships digitally, update their contact and address details and manage their FEI/EA membership information, all from the comfort of their lounge or office chair.

This new functionality allows members to select their own membership categories, sign their membership declaration and make the payment in a quick and easy process negating the need to print out paperwork or mail in applications.

In another step to make endurance life a little less dependent on paperwork Membership cards are no longer required and there is no need for our busy Membership Registrars to mail out cards. A rule change was introduced to remove the need for membership cards now that rides are managed using AERASpace, which provides an up-to-date status of a rider’s membership.

PA Insurance can also be taken out as part of the membership renewal however this will still require the completion of the PA Insurance form and sending that to the State/Membership Registrar. Plans are underway to have this digitised for the 2025 year.

The new module caters for:

1. Membership renewals
2. New memberships
3. Family memberships
4. Early bird discounts
5. Discount schemes for students, pensioners and significant volunteers
6. Half yearly memberships

AERA will be running some familiarisation sessions to assist members get a handle on how to renew their membership so look out for details of these sessions – details of these sessions will be posted to AERA’s FB page and to the State FB pages over the weekend so keep an eye out. The first session will be held on 20 December 2023, we’ll have another one in January and in February, if required.

For any questions relating to this new module please use the Contact Us page on the AERA Online website.

2023 TEERA fees and charges, membership renewals

Membership renewals now open

The TEERA SMC met this week to finalise the 2023 TEERA budget and set the 2023 membership and ride fees and charges.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that insurance costs for our sport, in line with insurance costs in general, have increased by almost 50% in the last two years. As a result of this the SMC has reluctantly had to increase both membership and ride fees for 2023. Increases have been limited to the minimum amount necessary to cover TEERA’s projected costs for 2023. Somewhat paradoxically, the cost of personal accident insurance has not risen for 2023.

A complete list of 2023 fees and charges has been published on the Forms page of this website as has the 2023 membership application / renewal form. The membership form has a link to the 2023 personal accident insurance application form.
